Organize Your Day!

10 Daily Habits for Christian Solopreneurs (Part l)

Best habits you will never regret adding into you daily to do list. These habits will help you find greater success and create the balance you have been longing for. Yes, you begin each day “all-in”as you hustle to stay organized and grow a successful brand. Organize your day around strategic, healthy habits that will support your dream brand and desired lifestyle. Here are a few of my favorite best-practices that will help you stay focused and organized.

  • Spend your first hour of the day with God. Not as a ritual, but as a spiritual life-strategy choice for success and well-being. Seek Him first and pray for guidance. Pray over your scheduled plans and be open to anything God may want to change. The absolute best business partner you could have is Christ. Invite Him to be involved in all your business decisions, meetings and plans. In Psalm 20:4 He promised to give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Never doubt that God wants you to be successful in your business and ministry.
  • Schedule revenue generating activities, weekly. These are not just activities whereby you trade time for services, but you must spend time producing future products and services that will create new income streams. Have a notebook where you keep all your amazing ideas for new products and programs that you want to create. Keep this notebook nearby and pray over it for God’s guidance, counsel and discernment. If you’re like many soloprenuers you get these brainstorm ideas frequently. By keeping all your big ideas in one location you will be better organized, and therefore able to access the proper notes and project plans whenever it’s time for creative execution to take place.
  • Set goals according to the vision, gifts and calling that God has for you. Although your personal ministry may be totally unrelated to your business, consider the path that you are on as God ordained. He has a reason for leading you, your brand and your life the way you are being led. Let go of the fears and worries about “whats next,” and embrace the fact that you are in the exact place God wants you to be. If you’re feeling uncertain, seek God for leadership and direction. You might also comsider engaging with a Christian life coach who will assist you in clarifying your objectives and ensuring they are in alignment with your vision.
  • Create a vision board with scriptures and pictures that inspire you to trust God and keep the vision before you to sustain a growth mindset. Consider capturing an image of your vision board to set as your screensaver. This way, your aspirations remain in sight, both literally and metaphorically.
  • Plan specific days for specific activities. Your priorities must be incorporated into your schedule. Keep in mind that if it’s not on your schedule then it’s not a priority and will likely be left on the back burner at the end of the day. Create an editorial calendar and use an organizing planner that has just what you need to stay organized. Remember, consistency is key to making this system work. Stick to your schedule and make adjustments as necessary, but never lose sight of your priorities.
